Bifidobacterium lactis - 2 of 15 probiotic strains of DeNorma
Bifidobacterium lactis (B. lactis) is found in raw milk and is used as a cheese starter.

The study showed that co-administration of B. Lactis BB-12 with Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG reduced oral inflammation in volunteers and reduced the amount of dental plaque.

B. lactis has also been shown to have potential prophylactic effects on cancer-related colitis. It has been shown to have a therapeutic effect in inflammatory bowel diseases.

This bacterium makes it difficult for foreign substances to pass through the intestinal wall. By reducing intestinal permeability, B. lactis is able to protect the body from foreign substances and reduce the risk of autoimmune diseases.

B. lactis has also been shown to boost immunity, fight tumor growth, improve digestion, lower cholesterol levels, improve lactose intolerance symptoms, help normalize bowel movements, and reduce irritable bowel syndrome, improve blood glucose control and prevent the growth of H. pylori which causes stomach ulcers.

Bifidobacterium lactis Bi-07, among other things, has a positive effect on the immune system (in particular, increases the effectiveness of vaccines), helps stabilize the gastric germs after exposure to antibiotics and improves the condition of atopic dermatitis.

Bifidobacterium lactis Bl-04 has similar properties. This strain has a positive effect on immunity, facilitates the course of allergic fever, restores the microflora and can help eliminate antibiotic-induced diarrhea.

Another probiotic, B. lactis BB-12, supports a healthy gut microbiome and can improve its function by reducing diarrhea and antibiotic-related side effects. There is also evidence that it helps fight respiratory infections.

Bifidobacterium lactis is part of the composition of DeNorma.
