The International Leaders Conference for DEHolding Partners will be held from October 7th to October 13th!
The next interesting stop will be the Temple of the Queen Hatshepsut in Deir El-Bahri.
The construction of the temple began during her lifetime. This magnificent building was built under the direction of architect Senmouth. Currently, the area where the Hatshepsut Temple in Egypt is located is called Deir al-Bahri. The temple is near the temple of Mentuhotep I, who was the founder of the XVIII dynasty of the Pharaohs. Hatshepsut may have wanted to emphasize her right to the throne. Upon completion of the project, the Hatshepsut Temple in Luxor surpassed all existing similar ancient Egyptian structures - its size, architecture and decoration impressed the contemporaries.
But all this beauty was not meant to last for long. After the true heir Thutmose III came to power, the Hatshepsut stone temple was subjected to such repression, where all the sculptures were destroyed and buried near the temple. Only many centuries later, archaeologists were able to restore the image of the former grandeur of the temple and present it to tourists and other lovers of archaeology.
Returning to the historic part of the excursion, you will visit this temple of the great queen. It is decorated with square columns. The inscriptions on the columns explain the life of the Pharaohs, and huge statues guard the walls of the temple.
