Lactobacillus salivarius – 14 of 15 probiotic strains of DeNorma
Lactobacillus Salivarius restores the microflora and relieves from the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome.

Lactobacillus Salivarius (L. salivarius) is a rod-shaped, Gram-positive probiotic bacterium.

This co-hypochromic bacterium metabolizes carbohydrates and is used to ferment sugars such as glucose, ribose, adonitol, galactose, fructose, mannose, sorbitol, mannitol and N-acetylglucosamine.

As a result, acetic and lactic acid are formed. Thanks to the latter, an ideal environment is created for other probiotics. Both acids help inhibit the growth and spread of pathogens and other microorganisms.
The antimicrobial effect is due to the ability of L. salivarius to produce bacteriokines, hydrogen peroxide and other antimicrobial compounds.

Existing data show that L. salivarius is effective against harmful bacteria that cause foodborne illness, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and skin diseases.

L. salivarius also fights the pathogen Staphylococcus aureus and can extend the shelf life of food.
In addition, L. salivarius lactic acid bacteriokines are increasingly used as disinfectants, as well as replacing older topical and oral antibiotics.

Lactobacillus salivarius:
• Enhances the health of teeth and gums
• Prevents gastrointestinal problems
• Helps in the proper functioning of the pancreas
• Helps lower cholesterol
• Helps to improve your mood
• Relieves asthma

L. salivarius is found in the DeNorma symbiotic.
